Will be hosting a Breed Appreciation Day with multiple choice exam, A3 hands on assessment and A2 assessment.
Saturday 21st September 2019 to be held at Baginton Village Hall, Frances Road, Nr Coventry CV8 3AB
0900 hours arrival for a 0930 hours start
The seminar is relevant to all those who wish to have a better understanding and appreciation of the Irish Setter.
The day will consist of
- An in-depth breed presentation given by Diane Stewart-Ritchie (Followed by a Q & A Session)
- *Breed specific Multiple-Choice Exam
- Lunch
- Afternoon session - A3/A2 hands-on assessment
*Please note to take the MCE you must have taken and passed the following KC education seminars –
- To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on the Requirements of a Dog Show Judge
- To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement
- To have attended a 'Points of the Dog' assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.
- To have completed 6 days of stewarding.

KENNEL CLUB ANNOUNCES CHANGES IN STUD BOOK BANDS FOR 2019
The Kennel Club has announced changes in Stud Book bands for 2019 for some breeds, which will apply for all shows from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019. A Stud Book number qualifies a dog for Crufts for life. The full list of 2019 Stud Book bands can be found on the Kennel Club website at www.thekennelclub.org.uk/activities/stud-book-bands/.
RING PROCEDURES AT LICENSED SHOWS
The content covers ring procedures and the practical aspects of judging and may be of interest to judges of all breeds. The resource is free of charge and emphasises the judge's responsibilities in relation to health and welfare, general ring procedures together with relevant show regulations and practical aspects of judging. There is a multiple choice exam available which is available to anyone who wishes to take it. There is a certificate of achievement for those who pass the exam. For people who do not have a Kennel Club Academy account, registering an account is free of charge and anyone can undertake the education, register an account.
